Day 1 – Wooden Log Cabin
Arriving in the glass igloo village – either by your own means or a pre-booked transfer – you will be welcomed to your authentic log chalet accommodation. Complete with a sauna, fireplace and small kitchen, the chalet is impressively constructed from large kelo pines, providing a suitably beautiful and rustic base for your experience. A hearty dinner will cap off your first day perfectly.
Day 2 – Glass Igloo
The second day begins with a delicious breakfast, followed by a 2-hour reindeer excursion. Once you’ve got into the provided thermal outfit and got a special photo with the reindeer, you can sit back and relax under a warm blanket as these majestic animals pull you through the snow to Sami Village. It’s the perfect way to see the wilderness close up, before soaking up the unique culture and enjoying a hot drink in a Sami tepee and warming up around the campfire.
From here, you will be taken to your very own glass igloo. Admire the spectacular northern lights and get a captivating view of the twinkling starry sky as you lounge in the comfort of a warm, cosy igloo. Your igloo has everything you need for the night, with your own toilet and comfortable bed. There are also men’s and women’s showers and saunas in separate buildings.
Choose from four restaurants for dinner on the igloo site, which also houses the world’s largest smoke sauna.
Day 3 – Good bye Kakslauttanen
After your unforgettable glass igloo experience, you can enjoy breakfast on the third day, before heading back – either by your own means, or on our transfers to Ivalo or Rovaniemi.
