Tour program
Day 1 – Explore Helsinki before you cruise to St. Petersburg
Your unforgettable Baltic Sea cruise starts here in Helsinki. You’ll have the day ahead of you to explore the city, before the MS Princess Anastassia departs at 19:00. Trav
el around Helsinki on the quick and efficient city centre tram. Stop off at the many museums and cathedrals, as well as the famous Design District and fully immerse yourself in Finnish culture before its time to depart.
Day 2 – Arrive in St. Petersburg
At 09:00 am you will arrive in Russia’s culture capital. Before departing the cruise-ferry, an onboard optional breakfast buffet will be served.
With so much to see in the St. Petersburg, you’re guaranteed a day full of breath-taking experiences revolving around Russia’s fascinating culture and history. From the Hermitage Museum to Saint Isaac’s Cathedral or the Church of the Savior on Blood, there are endless options!
Our 4-day cruise comes with an optional upgrade to the Sightseeing Package, which includes a private half-day tour of the city. If you choose to upgrade, one of our friendly and professional multi-lingual tour guides will be available to meet you at the harbour.
At the end of the day, you will relax and unwind in a centrally located 3 star hotel of your choice where you will enjoy the rest of your evening. An upgrade to 4 or 5 star and transfer to the hotel is also provided if you choose the Sightseeing Package.
Day 3 – Wake up and explore St. Petersburg
Wake up to a beautiful view of St. Petersburg and enjoy breakfast in the hotel, before your second day of adventure in the city. You will have the day ahead of you to continue exploring the many sights, landmarks and monuments before evening departure. Spend time in one of the many cafes and restaurants and familiarise yourself with authentically delicious Russian cuisine.
For those who upgrade to the Sightseeing Package, a private half-day tour of the Hermitage Museum is also available. You can see and learn about the many fine paintings and works of art produced by famous painters Van Gogh, Monet and Matisse.
Once you have seen all that there is to see in St. Petersburg, a shuttle bus (or private driver for Sightseeing Package) will escort you back to the harbour at 16:30pm. Departure from St. Petersburg back to Helsinki will take place at 19:00.
Day 4 – Return cruise to Helsinki
On your final day, you will arrive in Helsinki at 8:00 am. The MS Princess Anastasia will provide an optional breakfast buffet, before passengers depart the cruise-ferry. If you’d like to see more of the city, you can choose one of our optional Helsinki Sightseeing Tours (see below for more information).

As I was travelling through Finland with poor internet , I had a lot of questions, that were answered very quickly. I have booked just a private transfer in St Petersburg from harbour to hotel and everything was good.Thanks to Martti. But one point would be more helpful to me.
You should tell the customers, how they will find their driver in St. Petersburg. I was a little bit concerned about that. The driver hold up a sign with my name written on it as I looked up for the Scandi tour sign.Only a little thing, but improvable.

This is feedback on our tour, and relaying the thoughts of myself and also those of my wife. As a general thought, we thought the tour was well planned and very interesting. And the various components of the tour were all very good. The ferry ride was very enjoyable. It was the first time we have taken an overnight ferry trip. It was an older boat, but it was maintained fairly well, and the staff was generally helpful and accommodating.
The next part of our tour was the pick up and city tour in St. Petersburg. The driver and tour guide we’re waiting for us. We were one of the first off the boat and they were ready. The driver was an experienced and careful driver and provided a comfortable journey.
Our tour guide Maria was amazing. She was one of the highlights of our entire trip to St. Petersburg. Maria was also our tour guide on our second day, and she was waiting for us and was there early. She had a way of bringing the exhibits to life and was probably one of the best guides we have ever experienced in all our travels.
We really love the Golden Triangle hotel. The room was beautiful and the breakfast was very good. The location was also excellent. We would like to stay there again.
The return trip on the princess Anastasia was actually better than the first leg of the journey. We have a little more experience with the ship and were able to manage our experience better. We were able to continue on to Tallin Estonia and visited the old city for four hours before returning on the Viking XPRS.
So I’m happy to report that all of you were partners performed well, and we are very happy.
The only suggestions I have for improvement would be to provide a little more initial information on the ferry company, and perhaps directions or a map to their terminal. For most people that are familiar with Helsinki, the port, and the ferry system the information is common knowledge. But for us who are not knowledgeable of the port etc. the whole thing is a bit difficult to understand the first time.

When doing the add on packages, it was difficult to tell if all the add-ons would have fit into the amount of time in St. Petersburg. It would be helpful if the add-on tour packages said something like, “all are possible within time limits of visa.” We would have liked to include Peterhof as a tour, but with the Hermitage, St. Petersburg tour and Tsarskoe Celo, I was unsure if it would have fit in my schedule.
We would have added Peterhof to our itinerary as well if we had a better idea how the days were planned out when we purchased the package. I did not ask any questions about it prior to purchasing due to my time restraints, but in the end, we were satisfied with how much of St. Petersburg and Helsinki we saw.
We stayed in clean and quite hotel. It was located in a great part of town, totally in walking distance to all the great sites to see.
We ate a an Irish pub, a place called the Library, Jamie Oliver’s place and a small Russian restaurant near the Hermitage. All but the Irish pub (near the hotel) were very good. We did not go our of our way to have authentic Russian food, but we managed to find some where we ate.
Both tour guides were great. Our Hermitage and Tsarskoe Celo tour guide was TERRIFIC! Her English was clear and she was able to share with us all of her knowledge about the sites. Our driver was also fantastic. He was always on time and he sat patiently while we went into places with the tour guides.

We LOVED our guide,Maria, in St. Petersburg. She was a native and a wealth of information. We had booked two days but after the first day, added the third.
The buffet dinner is OK, the breakfast option much better. My suggestion is give an option of dinner options – either the buffet or one of the restaurants. The food is very average.
Our guide, Maria, was the highlight of a two week journey through Russia and the Baltic. She not only loves her city but provided a wealth of information on the history of the city which she loves. We booked a third tour after the first day with her. My recommendation to friends who may travel with you is to book the city tour, Hermitage,and Peterhof. We only booked the first two but after one day in St. Petersburg added the third.

Thank you for helping steer us to the Rossi and for getting us such a great room. The boat ride was a lot of fun too, it was totally worth the upgrade to Comodore for getting a great room with a window.
Everything was perfect. Lina was our guide in St Petersburg. She met us at the boat, with Denis our driver. We had two days with Lina and she is an excellent tour guide. She is passionate about explaining the sights, very good with answering questions. Her English is superb. Denis is an excellent, safe and careful driver. We couldn’t have had a better pair to show us the city.
We loved Helsinki too. We look forward to returning to the area and will be sure to look for travel opportunities with Scandi Classics Tour Operator next time we’re in town.

We thought your service was perfect. The only suggestion I would have is a small break for a snack (on the tours) for those traveling with children. Our guides were very flexible and worked it in so it was not a huge problem.
The staff answering our questions before booking were very patient and detailed in their answers.
Customer support was fantastic – answered our questions very quickly and with good detail.
The tour program was perfect – way more than we expected.
Quite luxurious and very friendly staff. Very accommodating for our children.
